Here at Acts from the Vicedz Enterprise , L.L.C., we provided professional door-to-door service to and from medical appointments, dialysis, and other treatment programs for senior citizens, patients who used wheelchairs, and parents and children with special needs. Our services are primarily for private citizens, doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, private group homes, assisted living facilities, and insurance companies. We are devoted to providing fast, courteous, and professional service. We are here to meet the needs of every client. In addition, we also provide transportation for clients who use wheelchairs who wish to attend special family events such as weddings, funerals, or holiday gatherings.
General Job Description:
Drivers are responsible for transporting patients who use wheelchairs and patients who may need assistance in getting to and from their medical appointments and any other destination.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Have good verbal communication skills
- Interact professionally with disabled, disadvantaged, sick, and injured persons
- Clean all equipment by following appropriate disinfecting procedures, including the inside and outside of vehicles
- Complete daily vehicle inspections
- Keep clean and neat at all times
- Wear company issued uniforms while on duty
- Be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of uniforms
- Secure all wheelchair passengers in the van per the Company Passenger Securement Policy
- Responsible for safe loading/unloading of all passengers
- Responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle in all environmental and traffic conditions
Qualifications For The Job
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience: Minimum 1-year experience
Other:
- Minimum 21 years old
- Must have (D.M.V.) Z endorsement
- Motor Vehicle Report-Three year history
- No more than three moving violations in the past three years
- No suspensions in the past three years
- No DUI/DWI
- Must complete a 10-panel drug screen and Criminal Background Check
Required Training:
- C.T.A.A Pass Basic
- First Aid/C.P.R.
- Delaware Defensive Driving Course
- Wheelchair Securement
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of use of G.P.S. device
- Current and valid state driver’s license
- Three years of driving experience
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in a confined space in a stressful environment while providing patient care required.
Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather occasionally
